Wow, kind of scary.
Of all the real-world tracks I've driven simulations on (GT, Forza, etc) this track is the most ridiculous.
You'd have thought they'd have some system in place via cellphones to lets everyone know there's been a crash.
i've been to restaurants where they have these hockey puck shaped beepers that let people know their wait in line is finished, in case they want to walk around the block since the restaurant is too crowded to wait inside of. maybe the track can just get something like that, just give a variety of beeps for whatever scenario, like a crash alert, or debris on the road, etc.
That's some high quality scrap metal.
Scrappers everywhere are drooling
I've done this once when there was black ice on the road. It was just above freezing outside and the city workers had left a water pipe leaking. The water had drained down the road and onto a slope which it completly covered and did freeze. I drove over it and new right away it was going to be bad for others. Got out, tried waiving people down, a few got it and slowed down, others totally ignored me and smash.
I beleive a lot of these guys get tunnel vision and just don't know how to process something unexpected (like a guy waving his hands on the side).
They could of course be trained to recognize signs but I bet they are advised not to get out of their cars.
