The economy was put on hold, meaning a lot of migrant workers who use 2 mobile subscriptions cancelled their plans in the region they work in to save money. Some of the cancelled plans are people switching over to 5G, which they have in a lot of major cities now. Some probably cancelled their plans or their kids plans because, ya know, the economy was put on hold. They didn't give as much money out as some Western countries are doing. Just a rent-free month & some tax rebates. It's not exactly prosperous times there rn. Small business owners have been squeezed, like is going to happen in our countries.

This is the 2nd Falun Gong-backed piece on the site with the recent flood of China Bad bullshit. Of the others, one was from RFA, a CIA offshoot & the other 2 were from anti-China disinfo youtubers Serpentza & Laowhy86.
This video claims that the CCP is saying "everything is fine inside China". That's a silly strawman. Most regions are still under some form of lockdown with far stricter protocols than any other country - mandatory mask wearing & temperature checks to enter any public space, widespread testing, quarantining, travel restrictions etc.

According to some analysis Japan's death toll from corona is about 10X higher than has been reported. In China it's nowhere near this because they've had widespread testing & tracing since late January before it was peaking & have got domestic cases to zero now.
For scale, China has been conducting 1.5 million tests per week whereas the US is now carrying out less than 70,000 per week. China has 4X larger population than US but conducts 21X more tests each week. Who's covering up what?

It wasn't so much the CDC being secretive. The Whitehouse ordered the HHS to make the CDC meetings classified. The CDC was also ordered not to discuss cv publicly without approving their statements with Pence's taskforce.
Ron Paul has been quite critical of some things on this, I stopped listening to him about cv a while back because I disagree with his take & hear the same stuff from other right wing sources... they basically wanted to put business first & just let the thing spread. I think that's a bad call. Once they started with that narrative they tend to continue it or risk losing face, just sometimes they try to bend it as more data comes out, turning it into "people are pannicking too much, media is terrible" or some crap. It wasn't so much the CDC being secretive. The Whitehouse ordered the HHS to make the CDC meetings classified. The CDC was also ordered not to discuss cv publicly without approving their statements with Pence's taskforce.
Ron Paul has been quite critical of some things on this, I stopped listening to him about cv a while back because I disagree with his take & hear the same stuff from other right wing sources... they basically wanted to put business first & just let the thing spread. I think that's a bad call. Once they started with that narrative they tend to continue it or risk losing face, just sometimes they try to bend it as more data comes out, turning it into "people are pannicking too much, media is terrible" or some crap. Business as usual was the wrong approach to this ever since community spread began IMO. Before that the smart thing to do was treat ports of entry as quarantine zones & be super vigilant about not letting it into the country.
I'll tune back into Ron Paul when he has something to say about international relations. I like his anti-war stance & he has good knowledge of how things work inside the various factions of govt.
Fauci is on a board of some Gates Foundation virus thing, I don't see that as a big deal. I think he generally does an okay job but is hampered a lot by the higher ups. If he thought it would help he'd probably resign. I don't trust Bill Gates, he's a sheisty businessman. Not sure what he's up to with all that vaccine stuff but am suspicious he wants a sweet vaccine patent. I think he owns some vaccine companies or something & his 'philanthropy' is more like an investment & possibly even a way to avoid tax.
