It still blows my mind, that within my lifetime, it was such a huge deal about taking down the wall between east/west Berlin. Here we are years later building a wall. I know it's not the same, but come on...

yeah it's not the same. the berlin wall seperated a single people in a single city along political lines defined by foreign invaders. usa-mexico has no commonality - different laws, different cultures, different languages. it's not even remotely analogous.

There was a wall along some of the border before, but it was laughable.
This border wall is to help quelle human and drug trafficking, it's much needed.

Why? it acctualy saves alot in the long run, immigrants who migrate at 40 years or older don't input enough into the system to earn their pensions therefore the wall, illegal immigration also brings criminality
