Someone poured sulfuric acid on a Chinese woman (39 years old) when she was throwing out trash in Brooklyn. Her face, neck, and feet were severely burned & she's in hospital with critical injuries.

worse than the standard racist assholes these stupid racist assholes need to be put away. at least that's one thing you can say about america though, they will put their own citizens away for assault no matter who it is against, so while there are racists in america, the law at least isn't racist. assulting a foreign tourist is the same crime as assaulting an american citizen.
here in japan we literally had an elected member of government saying the measures they're introducing to help people through the covid-19 crisis should only apply to japanese citizens, as in excluding all tourists, exchange students, and even long-term residents.
