Hyundai Kona, a game changer? | Fully Charged

Testdrove both versions of these last week and must say I'm impressed.  The interior is a little cheap but not really offputting, both versions shift well and the stronger one was tested almost a second 0-60 quicker then specified.

The paddles are not counter intuitive at all as it is an EV and there is no need to shift. Active lane assist works well. The 400km real range is way more than I need. The head up display works fine for me.

Not a travel vehicle but that is not what it is intended for.

The Kia Niro is based on the same platform but not available yet, in Mallorca at least. They said end of the month. The Soul will be available later in the year and I'll probably get one of those (smaller, cheaper, lighter, more range) and most probably the lower power version but I'm not sure yet as I don't know the prices and versions/options.

The Soul will ONLY be available as electric in Europe.

Have a friend who just got his and is really happy with it. Likes the inside just fine. Nice that it has the Adaptive Cruise Control included. Adapative Cruise Control and some other features is $3K USD upgrade in Tesla. :( Range anxiety is still one of people's biggest fears so great to hear they are exceeding on that point. And sounds like there there is enough demand that they are sold out in the UK for 2019; get rid of those diesels! https://www.drivingelectric.com/hyundai/kona/928/hyundai-kona-electric-sold-out-2019

too bad Tesla took too long in having the $25k version, that plus how the top car brands have control over the media because of their massive investment in advertising
