The reason I ask is cause in breaking bad he's a chubby middle-aged guy working out if a mini-mall. If I recall correctly Saul is a prequel, so I'm not sure I get why they're making him into a badass here (capitalizing on the improved physique he had for Mr.Nobody) only to have the character go full circle and become the tubby dopey guy (years later) we meet in breaking bad. Unless they're playing fast and loose with continuity. Either way if cats are lying with dogs, the end is certainly near. ;-)

Just watch it, if you liked BB and his character in it you will not be disappointed, quite the opposite.
Continuity is not an issue as it is produced to perfection and you quickly overlook the wrinkles.

They are showing what lead up to BB. They are not showing him to be a badass, they are showing just about every characters back story leading up to BB and in the trailer they show scenes from those characters. Saul is still a nobody lawyer. The story does revolve around Saul and is focused on him to a certain point. Saul did introduce Walter to Mike and knows a lot more than just a nobody lawyer. Obviously Saul has a backstory and is not just some nobody lawyer.
