you know whats funny. the percentage of trans people is very small. like 1 or 2% of the population at most. of those that transition. a very small percentage of those, de-transition. of those, the majority of them was only temporary because they couldnt afford it or family pressure. the percentage of those that regret transition is like 4%. to put that in perspective. if you get a knee or hip replacement. you got about a 30% chance of regretting it.

Cause according to the American Psychiatric Association: 'The DSM-5 estimates that about 0.005% to 0.014% of people assigned male at birth (that is, roughly one in 10,000) and 0.002% to 0.003% of people assigned female at birth (that is, two or three in every 100,000) are diagnosable with gender dysphoria.'
Basically if you meant 1 per ten thousand (vs 1 per hundred) then you're right.

The last sentence made me laugh, thanks. But I'm not looking for a fight. I simply asked you for source and you came back to me with your 'opinion' or 'spin'. Last I checked, severe emotional distress leading up to even suicide was an important argument by trans lobbyists for allowing access to hormone therapy and surgery at younger ages (note, I say lobbyists and not trans community above, as I'm aware that some transpeople are actually distancing themselves from this group). Taking away the distress would make it reasonable to have the person wait until they are an adult before coming to an informed decision about their gender identity.
