Arguably agility was created for overweight people to get some exercise. It has deteriorated into idiotic competitions the dogs themselves actually don't care at all about although many are even bred for it. This "hobby" has turned into an idiotic industry and of course crufts are part of it.
OTOH this is good advertising for training the dogs using positive re-inforcement methods. The first trainer doing clicker training on competing dogs were laughed out of the arena, now almost everybody does it and literally almost no one in this industry is using aversive methods.

I am sure any dog can do this but i am sure i cant remember the path it should take..
