Was about fucking time, Scholz is a fucking coward, and the ministeress of defense was even more useless than von der Leyen was when she had the post. She did not even know the soldiers' ranks, can you believe it? Now replaced by a (hopefully) competent man, which of course caused criticism by the "women quota" supporters. It is pure comedy!

at the moment? well, ruzzia is making small advancements in the areas surrounding bakhmut in an attempt to flank ukrainian positions. it's sickening, they're constantly sending in small 8-10 man attack groups consisting of wagner prisoner troops and conscripts to attack ukrainian positions. these groups are being spotted by drones, targeted by precise arterially attacks and summarily turned in to charred body parts. problem is ruzzia just keeps throwing bodys at the problem and they're getting through in the less defended areas.

here's a link to the deep state map

So Russia is slowly using maneuver warfare to it's advantage since it's not possible for defending forces to protect everything at once.

Some things about those tanks. It takes potentially years to get very good with them. The tool is not what makes the difference, it's the quality of crew manning them. These are very complex and even dangerous to operate even by tanks standards. They have some of the same problems as the tigers from WWII. Immensely powerful in capable hands when they are supplied, supported, and in working order.

But, they are fuel hungry, The break down often, and difficult and labor intensive to repair. And need air superiority to survive. They are not invincible. In fact guerilla forces in Afghanistan have defeated a few with incendiaries. The tanks were salvageable. The crew not.

Those are not factors weighing heavily in Nato's favor within this theater at this time.

We are at a fork in the road. Negotiation, or escalation. Unfortunately it seems we are choosing escalation again. The longer this goes on, the more everyone loses. Even if a victory in this front was seized, it is pyrrhic at best.

remember those hundreds of tanks, apcs and other equipment ukraine captured many months back in that kharkiv offensive? literally any surrounding country with the capacity to repair and perform maintenance on soviet armor has been working furiously to get that shit combat ready, and a lot of it wasn't. so they'll have a a couple hundred tanks they are already trained on to use hopefully by mid to late spring.

good news about the leopard and challenger tanks. the infrastructure is already in place for maintenance as there are countries near that operate them. all that needs to be done is train on them. considering the differences i believe most tank crews would adapt fairly quickly. apart from the fact that there's no auto loader you've got sexy electronics to learn. makes me wonder what language the labels will be in. anyway ukrainian tankers will be trained by the best the west has to offer so we'll see how they do for time. did i mention that this is the kind of environment these tanks were built for? yeah, the leopard didn't like afghan environment very much.

bradleys will be interesting. these things killed more tanks in iraq than abrams did. i don't believe there are any countries in europe currently operating the platform so support infrastructure might be a problem. having said that the us is in poland in numbers so that may not be an issue after all.

forget the abrams for the moment.

don't worry about fuel. ukraine is being supplied with all it needs.

the current belief is that even if russia is pushed back to the border it won't be over for many years.

That's the problem. We need this over now. Not many years from now. The damage being done globally has very little to do with the conflict. It's everything else.

Meanwhile, China has it's eyes on Taiwan, and at the right moment I have reason to believe it's going to cut exports to NA and Europe to wage another economical aspect to the war. The Bricks nations are buying up gold at unprecedented rates, and are likely planning a gold based digital currency to unseat the U.S dollar. No one nation can threaten the reserve status of the Dollar, but many large nations at the same time can. You should check into "Operation Sandman" For some ideas about how this could work.

Taiwan is an island in China & the Beijing-Taipei ties have nothing to do with the yanks or the pack of castrated dogs politically aligned with them. It's been part of China since before the US was invented & it'll be part of China after the US is no more, inshallah.

Getting off from what? What our rogue government does is largely out of our control.

Personally I'd like to drop them all off on an island with some hammers so they can have their war they like so much.

You seem to have a certain anger and disgust for the Japanese.

of course. Not Japanese people, more the state. If you knew more about them & what's going on maybe you would too. The Japanese people are just super ignorant about their own history. That in itself isn't a deal-breaker & it largely comes back to the state & education system but it's not exactly an admirable quality.

lots... over half their govt is Nippon Kaigi - a fascist political-religious grouping that aims to rebuild the Jap Empire. The elite in Japan never actually were ousted after wwii, they were just brought into the fold under the CIA. They've never come close to atoning for what they did. They were worse than the Nazis & a lot of them still believe they should do it all again. If German politicians were anything like this - praising Hitler, talking about the honour of the Nazis etc, gearing up for war in Europe again, it'd be comparible to what goes on in Japan. The western media doesn't come close to describing what's going on, everything is justified somehow because "China"..... when China hasn't even fuckin done anything... not unless building a strong economy is some kind of "threat". Westerners are so ignorant & brainwashed it hurts.

Well, they are gearing up for war again in Europe. They have been paying tribute to the nazis not in spoken word, but policy. The governments of the collective west is no different.

What makes the Nippon Kaigi fascist? It couldn't be just a dream of an empire. Every civilization has pursued similar goals.

No doubt, A lot of people didn't face justice for their war crimes in WWII, but most of them are dead now, who's left to punish? What manner of atonement can even be paid?

War criminals in Japan are worshipped by high level politicians there. It's like if the German Chancelor was commemorating Hitler or the high level Nazis each year while simnultaneously denying the crimes they committed. There's no equivelence in Europe to how fucked up the Japs are.

I didn't say anything about punishment. Simply acknowledging what they did would be a start. They hide behind Uncle Sam instead & not only deny what they did but actually make moves to repeat it. Germany is far more aware of their past & is being dragged reluctantly into war with Russia. It's similar but really not the same at the core level. They also don't deny what the Nazis did & educate German citizens on how fucked it all was.

Edit:

Wait, I just thought of an equivelence in Europe - the Banderites in Ukraine. Surprise, surprise, they're a CIA project too, just like the Jap govt. The shit US/UK etc have done in the name of "fighting communism" is really quite disgusting tbf. It's cancerous.

Typically atonement implies punishment. Words are words, they are meaningless without action. People can say anything they desire.

Speaking of commemorating nazis it depends what you look at . Celebrating the holocaust? Of course that's would be despicable. But looking at the genius of Rommel, or the economic power or strength of community within germany during that time. That's something different entirely.

If you weren't German in Germany it was bad for you. If you were German in Germany it was very good for you.

If the third reich wanted to do way with immigrants and sodomites deportation would have sufficed.

"Germany it was very good for you"

you can't be serious

their country was destroyed, physically & nationally. They rebuilt it physically but the nation is still completely cucked. No matter what you were in Germany, by 1945 you were screwed.

And no, atonement doesn't have to mean punishment. There's not some great need to punish anyone in Japan... their still have an "emperor" is fucked though, that family should be purged from the planet tbf. Their behaviour is what's messed up, not some lack of "revenge" or some shit.

Sure by 45 it was in ruins, and from 1919 - about 35 ish it was impoverished. Due to an unfair bill thrown atop of them that was meant for a number of participants to share the load under armistice.

But under the third reich before war, they rebuilt the most expensive kind of civilization to run (An empirical one) from an empty treasury and money that was worth more as fuel for the fire place.

It's still unclear to this day who provoked who during that time.

Between you and I considering we have a better idea of what's going in the the current European situation, vs what many others believe, I have a feeling that WWII history is not as cut and dry as the package we are sold.

As for the emperor, should grandsons be punished for the sins of their ancestors?

I'd be fine with their bloodline being wiped. SHort of that at least get rid of their titles, jesus. That was the family that took the country to war, lost, and committed nightmarish atrocities all thru the region. The yakuza scum who were going around looting people's wealth reported directly to the emperor's advisors. He wasn't some bystanders, he was war ciminal numero uno, head of the most distasteful outfit of that period, yes worse than Nazis.

As for Germany's imperial economy, yeah sure it was good for a few years but so is taking a huge loan from your bank. You have to pay it back somehow. Germany's economy was lifted up on borrowed money & they needed to expand to repay it & keep things going. Like a coke habit or something. Great at the start. Free confidence/energy/motivation etc. Catches up with you in the end tho.

Plunder was certainly in the plans, however there were a number of other highly effective measures utilized to stimulate the economy before an opportunity for conquest was presented.

Some of it included longer working hours, and direct public investment infrastructure, and price fixing among corporations. Basicly lower profits for mega corperations , some rationing of certain goods due to tarrifs on imports and less support for outside currency, and a bit of self sacrifice of energy and free time from the citizens.

Considering in 33 German unemployment was at 30% it's understandable that some drastic measures had to be undertaken to lift people out of poverty.

I have seen quite a bit about money printing and some bank book acrobatics through bonds, but nothing really solid on Borrowed U.S. money so far.

even if they loan themselves money it still needs to be settled

eg. the autobahn .. the money has to come from somewhere, even if the govt is borrowing it
