Interesting. In my area, a real push began into wind power and an avalanche of push-back began about everything from the aesthetic and noise issues of it. It turns out these voices were really backed by power companies for obvious reasons.

in sydney the turbine has to be at least 25 meters for neighbouring properties. this rules out most suburban propeties.

well yeah spinaways have no turbine or any electrical activity whatsoever, so that makes sense.
I've been looking at these small wind turbines. Good thing I never invested in one.

i was thinking 400W must be overstated, but still didn't think it'd be that low. it's a pretty low-budget job, so i'm guessing his wiring can't handle the power. a linked video shows another guy with a very similar one getting 250W.
