I was not referring to the cybertruck, that may very well be on its way. I was thinking about the tesla truck.....

This will not work with current battery technology.

Do you mean Tesla semi? It's coming the end of the year.

There is no label for a 'Tesla truck' the closest thing is the Cybertruk.

I meant to say 'theoretically, maybe, possibly, suppose to' come.

Don't tell Pepsi

“We’re already starting to buy electric trucks, actually, from Tesla,” Laguarta said. “I don’t want to promote anybody but that’s the brand we’re using so far, and we’re getting our first deliveries this Q4. ”https://www.inverse.com/innovation/tesla-semi-release-soon

And damn, he said 'truck' to mean semi. I hate being proven wrong.

The problem with electric lorries (to use the british word for avoidance of error) is that the energy density of current battery tech does not permit long distance heavy goods transport, just look at how the range of any EV diminishes for towing trailers.

The payload of a model S is 586kg, the battery weighs MORE (625kg)! When we're looking at HGV's the vehicle weight becomes almost negligible and you have to match battery weight about 1:1 with payload if you want a half decent range like 400 miles (which is actually little when talking about lorries).

Yeah hydrogen would be better here. With all the hyrdogen tech that actually works (eg. Toyota Mirai), pretty surprised Trev screwed it up. If he had just made it work he could've been worth 10x or more. And not risk going to jail.

I've been in the Mirai, it's no Tesla but it's awesome and all hydrogen (except a little battery for regen).
