1957 Victoria Day Parade Victoria BC

I bought a film digitizer and am converting some old videos This is one filmed by my father-in-law, near the corner of Pandora Avenue and Quadra Street, in Victoria, BC, Canada. Participants include the Victoria Police Department, some sailors and a military marching band (likely from CFB Esquimalt), a collection of military vehicles, a Scottish brigade (possibly Princess Mary's Canadian Scottish Regiment), a troop of RCMP officers, some civilian marching bands, multiple floats (including from the city of Victoria, and the Pacific National Exposition, and some commercial floats), some clowns, baton twirlers, square dancers, several people on horseback, and some very cool vintage cars. There's some views of a United Church of Canada building, which is now the Victoria Conservatory of Music. As noted by the guy riding the barrel in front of the tractor, safety wasn't so big an issue...
