My father in law said the Soviets only beat the germans because they had unlimited cannon fodder.
Ruskies liked him so much the kept him (after stalingrad) for 2 years and he had to walk back to Germany where the russians had tought the german women how defeat should feel.
My father was in the British navy and was wounted it the assult at St Nazarre, he ah my Father in Law got on like a house on fire!!!

My grandfather was taken to Dusseldorf to a prison camp after beating a german soldier, he was in the pen with the jews and was then recognized as a rupi arian, and had to work with the germans, as the camp's labor boss.
You can see him in the video of fox they shot during the liberation, he's the tall bald guy.
After the video was shot one of the jews said that he did not belong with the germans and he was free to go.
