In a republic you dont choose your rulers they are chosen by the highest powers, that is basicaly the difference between democratic and republican, so be happy with what you get, and you have no idea what you are talking about, did you forget what kennedy said and what happened to him. Its in our name, the UNITED States of America, they wanted to maintain the powers of the states and limit the federal government. Its a Republic in that the STATES maintain their power of autonomy and the people vote to represent(Its in the states Constitution). That is the whole basis of the electoral college. The people vote for the Senators to represent the states, the house represents the people. Yes there is a deep state establishment going on in the shadows but that is not how it was supposed to be.
