Iran and the USA, a Timeline of Events

Here is a quick time line of the events that have lead to the increased tensions between the United States and Iran. Here is also my opinion on why the United States has just NOW chosen to strike against the supposed threat of Suleimani. Something I didn't get to mention in the video is the ridiculousness of the USA threatening European nations with a 25% tariff on their cars if they don't condemn Iran for no longer observing the nuclear deal despite the fact that the USA was first to withdraw from the deal, and went on to impose sanctions on Iran anyway.

This is a better effort than your last but it's still just a Western narrative, oblivious to a lot of key details about the US presence in the Middle East region.

I disagree that Trump ordered the assassination of General Soleimani for domestic political purposes ('Shock Doctrine'). That might make sense if he'd intended to go to war with Iran (he clearly didn't) or if his trial had any chance of removing him from office (it doesn't).

Trump doesn't know shit about geopolitics & apparently doesn't have any interest in learning so didn't know the implications of murdering Soleimani. Neocon ideologues like Pompeo, Pence & Graham most likely convinced Trump it was a good idea to assassinate the #1 anti-ISIS general. They basically want your country to become an aggressive & paranoid, fascist shithole like Israel. The assassination was right out of the Israeli playbook. Israel has wanted Soleimani dead for years [link] but didn't want to cop the backlash that it will bring.

You're somewhat right that this latest increased tensions started with Trump ending the JCPOA (Iran nuclear deal) in 2018 but if you want to understand US-Iran mistrust properly, start in 1953 with OPERATION AJAX.
