Tweets from James Bowie he is watching the hearing. Buckle up before you start reading this.

Tamara Lich seems to be very differently situated than Barber was. No home equity to put up, she rents. No savings, she says. Barber was given a $100,000 bond. That’s not going to be an option here.

Ms. Lich is not a good witness. She’s refusing to answer reasonable easy questions. She’s being difficult and cagey. Nobody is impressed.

Now she’s arguing whether money in a chequing account can constitute savings. Lol.

Every witness gets the same advice about how to testify. Tell the truth. Don’t argue. Speak slowly and clearly. Ms. Lich clearly thinks she is clever. It’s not working for her.

Tamara Lich is not helping herself. She’s spending $87,000 on vehicles, by she says she has no money. She’s arguing. She’s refusing to answer reasonable questions.

Justice Bourgeois is now questioning the accused herself. She is not impressed.

Ms. Lich is now testifying she has difficulty leaving because she is unvaccinated.

Ms. Lich’s surety is now testifying. Let’s see if he is more reliable.

Mr. Lich informs the court that the Holy Spirit is going to assist him and his wife to travel home from Ottawa.

Mr. Lich is refusing to answer questions already because he doesn’t wish to say “on the record.”

Mr. Lich describes this unnamed gentleman as a “miracle.”

Mr. Lich is now saying he has lost 10lbs during the process because he eats apples and oranges and bananas. $7/day daily food budget, he says.

Mr. Lich is now testifying that he flew to Ottawa on a private jet.

And his friends donated money to him and let him fly on the jet “because they are Christians.”

Moiz Karimjee is an excellent lawyer. I’ve done dozens of hearings with him. He is fair. He is kind. He has cute birds. This is about the most animated I have ever seen him. He is astounded by what he is hearing.

Notice, everyone, how Ms. Magas just managed to make a very cogent and timely objection, without standing and saying “Objection,” because we won the War of 1812. We don’t do it the tacky American way.

Mr. Lich now saying he never saw any videos, never heard anyone say “Hold the Line.”

Mr. Lich says he does not support others holding the line.

“I was aware of her position to hold the line. I wasn’t aware her public statements.”

Ms. Magas now raising an issue of marital privilege. Overruled.

This is the Holy Grail of bail hearings. Mr. Lich is the Ted Williams of sureties. This will never happen again.

Mr. Lich is now saying construction workers downtown caused as much noise as the trucker horns.

“I don’t even know what Rideau and Sussex is.”

“OK, I was aware that there was blocking.”

Mr. Karimjee has a point here. The surety may well have participated in the crime. It goes to his suitability. There’s an objection here, but i think it’s relevant.

Bourgeois J agrees with me, his attitude towards the charges conduct is relevant.

“I was just there for her safety and to make sure nobody took advantage of her popularity.” - Mr. Lich, who now says he doesn’t want anyone to hold the line.

Mr. Lich now saying he doesn’t support the convoy.

Mr. Lich is now relying on “The First Amendment” to say it was a peaceful protest.

“I know what happened with John Lennon and John F Kennedy and I didn’t want the same thing to happen to her.”

“We’re you aware the Emergencies Act was enacted?” “Yes, but I wasn’t aware it was enacted legally.”

“I want to know on what ground this War Amendment Act is based on.”

Mr. Lich is now asking the Crown to answer if the Emergencies Act is “against everything that is good and holy.”

Justice Bourgeois just let out the longest and loudest sigh in the history of the Ontario Court of Justice, because Mr. Lich compared the occupation to a “traffic jam.” “Things happen in big cities… I don’t see a need for a war action.”
