Trump's Tax Plan Sets us back 2 Trillion Dollars

Actually it would have saved him $35 million that he had to pay in 2005. His tax plan would save him over $100 million next year. That had nothing to do with the plan. It's about saving the middle class money, right? I love this. This is where Trump will work for me. My family is going to save millions. The middle class? They will be able to buy new cars, renovate their homes and take vacations. That will sell it. Go Donny go!

a republican tax should always be doubted, but here it sounds a lot like democrats have fudged the numbers to make a reasonable plan look bad. the 2 trillion figure is only reasonable is companies were paying the 35% rate, which they're not, because they've all either offshored or gotten tax breaks which see them paying less than 5% - american companies are paying historically low tax even though they're making historically high profits. trump's 20% rate will bring in more tax revenue, as long as congress doesn't stop him from closing those loopholes that let them pay less than the legal rate.
