if u think about it thats the only way things change round here. so we should keep up their rewards until companies go bankrupt. ie billion dollar companies need to get trillion dollar lawsuits not a few thousands here n there obv

this also solves frivolous lawsuits because if all lawyers know they have an easy way to get millions++ off facebook, then they wont waste their time chasing 10k for wheelchair access, 10k off this other shit and so on. They will automatically go for the facebook easy wins for millions and use their time wisely collecting the bigger cuts and not patent trolling smallstuff at least this is how it should be in a free market

lawyers dont just conjure up lawsuits from a template and win money. Without a quick settlement it could take years of back and forth arguments requiring 100's sometimes 1000's of hours researching and writing up motions and appearing in courts. In their COMPLAINT they have to tell the courts, who was injured and that they have STANDING to have the court hear their argument for RELIEF, they have to tell the courts HOW the other party harmed them, they have to tell the courts the court has JURISDICTION to hear the case, then they have to tell the courts how the law applies and find cases that back their arguments called PRECIDENT. Then you have filing deadlines that courts have, so you have to know that stuff. After you write everything up you have to cross your t's and dot your i's and check it about 10 times and have other people check it again and again, because if you fuck it up, then your whole case gets tossed, and if if looks sloppy and has errors then the judge and the clerks will not like that and you'll have to correct it. Then the other party gets to file as many motions to counter your arguments as they want and you could have in-person hearings on those motions and you have to reply to those motions using the same process all over again. And when a big corporation has an army of lawyers on retainer, they can make this span over the course of many years and file many motions all the while the PLANTIFF, or accusing party, or harmed party, does NOT get any money and has to pay for legal aids to help with the research, copying fees, court fees to file, servers fees, etc... And in the end most of the time, the case gets tossed and the lawyers get nothing.

SO you have lawyers chasing ambulances because they know %90 of the time the insurance companies settle early and fast and they get a cut without having to put much effort in.

Also, you are ONLY allowed to ask for the amount you were harmed, not just some number off the top of your head, you have to explain it in detail to the court as to how you came up with your figure. If Crowder was only making $100k a year from his platforms then after being censored his income is down to $50k then he can only ask for $50k. Unless their was harm done to his persona or image that would be irreparable harm long into the future then you could say $50k every year into the future, or some such thing.

Imagine you sue your neighbor for a tree that fell on your house from his yard. You cant just say "well, he's a millionaire so he should give me a million bucks". No, the courts will say what is the damage and cost of repair, and sue for that. It doesnt matter how much he has in the bank. Get it?

What Crowder and his lawyer is doing is trying to set a precedent for the big tech firms, its not about the money, what they want is for the court to agree with them that the big techs are harming people like him by deplatforming them and censoring them against the big techs own terms of service agreements. Attorneys doing this sort of stuff are not doing it for money as they wont get much, maybe attorneys fees and court cost but they have to pay for all that upfront and in the end might not get anything. But if they win then it helps everyone, and the lawyer gets bragging rights that they took on the big guy and won.

Do you think Crowder pays Richmond for his frequent appearances on the show? Or does he just drop by because it's fun. I *think* it's the latter but I'm curious to know.

Yeah, i think he does it for fun. But crowder does hire him for legal shit. My attorney was cool as shit like that, he would take on protester cases pro bono just to stick it to the government. The guy was a genius at law, I did all the paralegal work for him and everyone including him suggested I get into law and go for the bar exam, but one problem, just like him, we dont go with the flow and we buck the system. The system doesnt like people who rock the boat.
