Much better comedy gold is Putin calling Western criticism of the 1939 Nazi-Soviet pact in which Hitler and Stalin teamed up and divided up Poland "Ridiculous". Putin really is a lot like Trump. He leaves out the whole part about Stalin invading Poland 2 weeks after Hitler did, beginning WW2.
Putin actually says the Western powers were responsible for WW2. Appeasement of Hitler was a huge mistake to be sure but to ignore the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact signed on Aug. 23, 1939 with Hitler is absolutely pathetic. Maybe because Hitler then invaded Russia in 1941 resulting in the death of 25 million Russians and Putin feeling the need to deflect the blame. Interesting technique. You can tell from Putin's words that he longs for the days of the Soviet Union.

He doesn't leave out the invasion of Poland, he mentions it twice. Also, he doesn't just repeat that "appeasement" schtick, he shows how deals & conversations between European powers & Nazi Germany made the war inevitable & how France renegged on their obligation to aid Czechozlovakia, despite re-affirming it just weeks prior.
