If someone in the US declared themselves president at the behest of Russia or China & was openly calling for military to help him overthrow Donald Trump, would he get a visit from the police or black-bagged by the feds?
Juan Guaido has given interiews on CNN (Portugese), CNN (English), Associated Press, Fox News, al Jazeera, an opinion piece in the NYTimes, held a press conference, requested US funding & other political activism on Twitter. And walks around a free man.
Maria Butina was chucked into solitary confinement for months for the crime of joining the NRA while being Russian.
