Does anyone pay attention at all around here? Notice a change recently in the site's behavior at all? The feature that deletes a post with less than a score of 3 after 10 ratings has been disabled so it can no longer be abused. That signals to me that I can continue to trust the site in so far as it is committed to maintaining a space where participating in sense-making conversations is not blocked or censored by a small ideological faction.
But there's also just the problem of me, period. You say "have I gotten over myself" and yet there's a Spiked National here who levies 5 one-star ratings against every post I make, and every post made by anyone who agrees with me or wants to sincerely discuss a post-based societal or political topic with me. There's a murderous and extremely powerful force that sustains itself through fear and war that took complete power in 2000 and just announced phase 2 - the war on "domestic terrorism". Brennan has been paraded all over CNN, MSNBC and the other neowarwoke Pravda outlets defining the domestic terrorist threat as "religious extremists, racists, bigots, white supremacists, and libertarians."
That's puffenask, that's the blackswordsman, that's pantysoaker, I have libertarian aspects because I'm anti-authoritarian. Basically, what he said was that if you ain't woke or completely obedient to his faction of establishment authority you are a terrorist. And his faction has almost complete control over the traditional vectors of societal influence and communication.
My older brother, retired Canadian Special Forces sniper, told me in 2005 that what the military is doing in the Middle East is basically a dry run of what they'll have them doing over here in about 20 years. Matter-of-factly. It's not really a controversial idea amongst those who've been conditioned for this for decades - it's just what's next.
No danger. I have to ask myself what am I accomplishing by expressing myself here and what are the risks? The balance of these two things is, generally, tilting out of whack everywhere including here. A response by admin calmed me down. I love this place but it would be foolish of me to injure myself by participating here solely for that reason. You think I'm crazy?

Crazy? Far from it. Your goodbye post seemed a tad defeatest, so I'm glad your back in the saddle.
In the end I think you're here to have fun just like the rest of us. If you were just bitter I wouldn't think you would bother, so that's a good sign.
