shootout between azov & ukie army (I've heard this a lot, hardliners/azov wanted Mariupol to be their "Stalingrad")
nationalists in the govt caused the conflict, nazis holding mariupol hostage
azov shot at fleeing civilians to prevent them leaving (many witnesses testify to this)
