LOL Got a TNG problem here

Star Trek Captain Jean-Luc Picard Crystal Mandela Effect * Are Souls Real? * Physical Reality

Only watch to around 7 min, or to the end for 30 more minutes of this guy worrying way too much about a nonexistant Mandela effect and other things. But as this involves TNG I found it funny and a bit strange. I don't specifically have a memory of Picard fidgeting with a crystal while delivering his trademark contemplative points of subtle wisdom. I do remember him holding a tea cup or manipulating a data pad, but not the crystal. I DO remember him making a lot of hand gestures when pacing slowly and talking, and of him frequently putting something down on his desk as he's finishing a point (a cup or a data pad), but I never actually registered a crystal. Do I remember things like the cup and the data pad because they are functional items, and I tend to lean heavily towards applying meaning to function way over asthetics? I do have a history of not noticing the purely asthetic if there's nothing functional for me to latch onto. I think that's why I don't remember Picard's security crystal even though I've watched every episode of TNG half a dozen times.

Do you specifically remember Picard frequently playing with a crystal while talking?

So far no one has chimed in to say that they remember Picard holding a crystal.

I do, just barely. I think this comes down to how our memory seems to work. We remember things we have stronger emotional responses too. That's why with PTSD the memories plagues you. This crystal he tosses around, it's inconcequential, has no real importance and no emotional impact. Therefore, your mind does not recall it. We focus on the important facts.

That makes a lot of sense to me.  Another tangent to think about is what our minds think something *SHOULD* have been but actually wasn't.
