1) If you just drive around town and you can charge at home then great fit for a single BEV car.
2) If you can't charge at home or need to drive longer trips regularly then not good as your only car.
3) If you have a mix of short and long range needs but can have 2 cars then yes, a BEV as your 2nd car is a great choice.

yeah this helped a lot. fucking japanese and they're "no we can't change that" mindset though, means the leaf still has the ridiculous passive cooled (not cooled nearly enough) battery, so electric cars are pretty much right off the table for the entire country.

I was REALLY surprised by that too. Especially after the big lawsuit + Lemon law returns from Arizona Leaf owners becuase the batteries were bricking due to heat.

Interestingly enough about your "no we can't change that" mindset comment was that the CEO Ghosn (Brazil+French) initiated the Leaf project.
