US embassy staff fled the country last night.
US-Iraq relations have soured since US bombed a PMF (Popular Mobilisation Force) group who they say was behind a bombing last Friday that killed a US contractor. The PMF denies the charge & is one of several militia groups in Iraq that act as a frontline defense against ISIS...US bombed ISIS' main enemy in Iraq!
Here's some background to the situation:
Note: the embassy is inside the greenzone which has Iraqi forces manning the checkpoints. They did not stop the demonstration, this is telling (shows Iraq govt support).

So, someone says that the main malitia group responsible for fighting and fighting off Isis, bombed something and the Yanks bomb them. Malitia group says that bombing was BS and get salty over being bombed by supposed allies (fair enough really). Raid Yank embassy. Burn bits of it.
Has their been or is their any American or Iraqi casulities over this yet? Apart from the bombings of course.
Although, maybe if the CIA could keep it in their pants and stop funding and training salty groups of people like Isis in the first place to do their dirty work for them. Then maybe problems like this wouldn't either occur as much or at all.
