"free speech" in business doesn't exist.

Political censorship on the social media platforms is not the same thing as Sargon's ban from Patreon. What he did to get banned wasn't political. Michael Richards did the same thing & lost his entire career years ago.

What I see are a bunch of right wing SJWs chasing their tails.

The whole point of the video and Matt's argument is that this business is not putting forth clear rules that everyone can follow and feel like they're safe running their business using that platform. Free speech is just one aspect of this. A lot of people say that patreon is just going to crash and burn as a business because of this but we'll have to see. It looks like there is pressure being exerted from a higher and stronger perceived authority on Patreon and this is not being fully and transparently explained to everyone.

I don't know if I buy the widely held belief that this entire Sargon ban was orchestrated by gang complaints from the very alt-right racists he was mocking in the clip that's being used to ban him. If that's true then it is a 4chan style win for the alt right that's for sure.

The guy on the channel Sargon was on when he let loose his tirade says that the viewers were just his normal audience, not an alt-right bunch like Sargon alleges. He says they were trolling him & he couldn't handle it.

I agree the ban likely came about as a result of an organised campaign against Sargon's haters. They'd be the ones motivated enough to pull a video from 10 months ago to use against him & probably filed a bunch of complaints in a short period. It's a proven technique to use against people on online platforms.

This is wildly different to speculating about political bias & some conspiracy from within Patreon itself.

He wasn't calling the audience the N-word - he was calling the guest and the people who support his views the n word. Sounds from the call like the people who control the flow of money - the people who aren't elected, have more power than any President, and who are never identified as public figures - are putting pressure on Patreon. The alt-right organized campaign sounds more like a conspiracy theory - powerful bankers fucking with society sounds like business as usual.

Listen for 1 minute to this clip, it's all there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74llFWdeKNM&feature=youtu.be&t=4164

Sargon calls them "niggers" (twice) and one guy in chat a "faggot".

He's talking to the people in the chat - the audience. The show host said it's his regular audience, not a bunch of alt-righters as Sargon makes out. One guy in chat who Sargon's reacting to called him an "upper-class twat", this has nothing to do with alt-right ideology. It's pretty accurate though IMO.
