I really like my sci-fi. This was the first computer game to punch me right in the feels (Spoiler. That moment when you go back to kharack after the field test...)
If your a fan of either Science fiction, realtime strategy or space simulators. Then this game will most likely already be in your games list, or it should be.

Played every single one. Back when game had expansions, not fucking DLC. The best space game I ever played. Better than Freespace 2 and Freelancer. Just recently recommended it to my father in law who was a long time fanatic of Sins of a Solar Empire (he's 65) and he played the entire series in less than a week. This game is on par with Half Life for a sequel. If they just kept pumping out new Half Life stories and new Homeworld stories I would never need another game.
