"canon" as in ignoring dozens and dozens of novels and comic books that were mostly consistent with each other, sometimes continuing threads, all wiped out and replaced by the 1 new movie. a movie that just rehashes the same general story, just with different characters and settings. i wouldn't have minded it, if the movie had been more original. if the next one looks like a copycat of Empire Strikes Back, I am going to lose my mind and stick it the man by doing my taxes with less than 1 day before the deadline.
