Q1 growth is likely to be hit by at least 1.5%, putting it around 4-4.5%
2020 GDP growth will depend on a few things but will likely be 5-5.5%
The int'l flight restrictions are going to impact the Chinese economy a lot.
Economic considerations likely played no part on the suppression of reporting during the initial phase of SARS. It was likely more to do with avoiding public panic. It wasn't suppression that caused it to get out of control it was a lack of ability to deal with it properly & the key factor was the idiot doctor going to Hong Kong & spreading it around there without even telling them he had it.
