Haven't played BF since BF3, I play an old mod of BF2 called Project Reality. This game borrows a few concepts from PR - focusing on squadplay, requiring smoke nades to revive people, ammo efficiency etc. PR is much more sophisticated & in most factions you have to play as a team with a commander as well as a squad (8 people per squad). As Taliban/insurgents you can kinda just do your own thing with IEDs or whatever or do squad play. I like taking out the infidel's air support but you have to be super sneaky sometimes waiting 10 mins or more for them to fly by,
BF3 was way more fun playing in a clan,, everyone on a mic, sometimes a little clan battle. I was usually support w/ M60. Oce you get the rhythm & your eye in it's super accurate firing 1-2 round bursts.
TLDR; Teamplay/squadplay is the best thing about BF....I might get this too.

Oh God I miss Project Reality. Me and a buddy used to play together. Calling in mortar strikes using actual map coordinates and not some magic killstreak button. And just hoping there were someone on the other side actually listening, and actually knew how to use mortars. And just the wait, while observing the enemy targets who could move and find us at any moment. Everything got so intense that we started wispering. And then after like a 15 minute wait, just seeing mortars just perfectly hitting targets, and enemies scurrying to get the fuck out of there, while we're on a cliff giggling like little girls.
