Be general duties (responding to calls, going on patrols, foot work and getting hands dirty basically) cop doing job.
Be patrolling area known for selling drugs and or violence.
See car in area, run plates through system.
Cars plates match up/belong to a person who is on probation (this usually means they have been naughty in the past or present).
Pull over car and ask driver what he is doing in said area whilst on probation.
Dont get that far into the conversation because driver pulls a gun on you and shoots you (which he shouldn't have whilst on probation, I'm not sure, you yanks are kooky with each state having some different laws n what not on the subject).
