no, they haven't. we is still in early days when it comes to ev tech.

until the turn of the century we relied on low volt lead acid and portable combustion generators to power most things for the last 100 years. large format energy dense battery tech has only stepped out of specialized use 15 years ago. electric motors, they almost didn't change untill the early 2000's for the same reason, engines that automotive companies dumped trillions of research dollars into.

so yeah it's early days but because of the speed we come up with things now you're gonna see those same trillions dumped into ev tech and serious shit in the next 20 years. it'll be like watching us go from the model T (where i think we are now) to a bugatti veyron.

Battery technology is still improving but will soon reach its limit both size and weight wise, I guess.

There still is room for improvement in regen braking but I doubt "real brakes" will become obsolete, at least as a fallback in case the motor fails

Anything else could be put into any car, I think, unless the suspension tech is fully electric and draws a lot of current.

It would be nice to put highly efficient solar cells on the car to help charge it. Or finally invent "pocket sized" fusion reactors.....
