A cousin of mine owns a restaurant here in Montreal (yes...the Greek stereotypes are true) and even though the menu is principally Greek/Mediterranean the souvlees are still advertised as brochette pour les Québécois to understand. I'm thinking going back to caveman times 'meat on a stick' will exist in one form or another irrespective of country.
I tease Nakey above only because 'kebab' if I recall correctly is 'minced' pork on a stick..as opposed to meat cubes. Don't challenge me on this. I have all 4 wisdom teeth.
