Just realizing, since the questiosn are when/who (with)/where - your replies mean 'Good Friday?', .. with the dog.. on the bed'.

...

Well you just became more interesting.

ROFL you never stop learning!

The ONE dutch phrase almost every german of my generation knows is:
"Lekker neuken in der keuken" (nicely fucking in the kitchen)

What I did not know is that up the arse was mandatory!

It is - lekker neuken in de keuken

Directly translated it makes little sense - Delicious fucking in the kitchen

This is from a comedy show - In De Gloria - all kinds of awkward/embarrassing humor, but funny as hell.

Lost in translation somewhere in the past, like what English call wheat we call koren what you call corn we call mais, so those words originate from the Belgians or the Dutch, poep is another timid way of saying ass, also kont, or reet is used to refer to

Well, according to deepl translator it would be stommekut in dutch. But maybe @Dude can give us a more "urban" translation, but I like it actually.

LOL many words in Dutch and english are exacly the same, and you do realise that The dutch or the old Germania for that part was inhabited before England so the original language and the ppl migrated over sea to create a bastardization of the Germanian languages and French and Greek Latin/ to form English as you know it.

Look at the difference between Australia and America, both languages originated from England quite different given its time range of splitting off only a few hundred years.

The English splitted off the dutch thousands of years ago

fire - vuur

tire - band

wheel - wiel

stool - stoel

cheese - kaas

grass - gras

tunnel - tunnel

Cave - grot

fat - vet

big or great - groot

left - links

right - rechts

red - rood

Blue - blauw

green - groen

lamp - lamp

stone - steen

spear - speer

bow - boog

car - auto or wagen :)

butter - boter

ham - ham or hesp

sandwich - boterham - because the first sandwich was butter and ham i guess.

dead - dood

counter - teller

Like someone who counts money at the bank

teller is a counter of numbers, in dutch these days we call him bankbediende, being able to count (or/of - tellen) does not impress anyone these days :)

I could go on like this for a few day's on end

Yeah we share 70% of those words you listed. I'm from Norway or Scandinavia if you will. We had some influence on how Europe speaks and write to put it mildly!  You have more in common with Norwegian than English..... only thing lost in translation was your use of "lost in traslation."

We are brothers when it comes to language.

Yeah the pronounciation is different but most scandinavian words are exactly the same.

But the scandinavians just like the rest of Europe came from the south, back when Italy was presumably a land bridge between Africa and Europe, many later migrated over from the middle east and settled along the coast where there was room left.

It was usual to share boys and girls for breeding to prevent inbreeding or mongoloids, a boy or girl would be given to another tribe when they were about 15 and she or he would start a family there, they have been doing this for millions of years, that is why words flow over europe.

And it was usual to live 3 day's apart from another tribe to prevent the animals from dieing out, then came the breeding of goats in a pen, they were fed nothing but leaves, because it was all forrest back then.
