1st. I thought, or rather my mind chose to believe, it was a trick and that the hot oil isn't hot at all. He's dropping it from pretty high up with no steaming or bubbling and his stirring is responsible for any movement. 2nd. Damn, that oil is amazingly clean given you just finished cooking an entire dog over it. 3rd, I found the incision in the lower abdomen way too small to get out all the innards.
Sal, maybe also stick to posting videos on Chinese syphilis stats..or not. For many of us, that could have just as easily been roast human.

Glad you're back. It's said that the best thing you can do for a child is have them be born into a family with a dog. That way they learn about life and death early on. Sounds like some of us are still figuring bit out. No problem. The way it was explained to me when I was young is it's also part math. Sure you got to deal with some pain when the pupper goes (always go mid-sized since they seem to live the longest), so long as at the end of the day you can say both your lives were (vastly imho) improved for having gotten together. ie. was it worth it, for both of you. In your case, I'd definitely start with a puppy, to maximize that time together, so when the day comes you answer with a resounding 'hell yeah!'. Cheers man.

While this is confronting for a western cultured person as we're obviously used having them as beloved pets, I personally think it's hypocritical to call it sick and horrible and all these things unless you are vegan, and do the same for all meat eating videos, e.g. anything with a turkey dinner in it, or a nice steak or what have you.
There's also an argument for how they are treated before death but again, just because it's more visible in Chinese markets, don't think for a minute that the vast majority of western meat you're getting all nice and packaged up in the western supermarket you visit has been treated much better in it's factory farmed conditions and abbatoirs... but again, this video shows nothing of this dogs life prior to death so I can't imagine that the outrage is due to that.

And so eating people is niche because there's only a certain segment of society who choose to partake in it.
Are you asking why only a small segment of society choose to eat people? There'd be a number of reasons for that:
Legality
Morality (both for those like vegans who don't believe in killing any living creature, as well as the vast majority of people who believe humans have more of a right to life than other animals, influencing 1.)
Availability of alternative food sources that don't require you to murder someone
Scarcity of human flesh for consumption / the fact that most people die from sickness / old age rather than in their prime when I guess their meat would be considered of the highest quality.
Anyway I can see myself going down a bit of a rabbit hole with this response, care to clarify the intent behind your question a bit further if you wish to continue the discussion?

Where do I draw the line with people eating? At the threshold where you go from eating literally any other species of animal to your own species, that's where that line is.
I think it's stupid to apply a human construct of nobility to an animal and let that factor into your decision as to which should be and shouldn't be eaten.
If it was allowed in Europe to eat humans and you heard it tasted good, would you do it? Sounds like you would.

As far as I know Chinese also do have dogs as pets.
In most cultures, dogs have always been some kind of servant, used for hunting, protection, herding, not really bread for food. It's not just a western thing that we have them as pets, all around the world they've been living with us as part of the "pack" for thousand and thousands of years.

Yeah. no. Under the German occupying force the town was starving worse and didn't eat the cats. The Italians ate them. My dad says he saw them when they would skin them. They just liked the taste I guess. (The expression 'there's more than 1 way to skin a cat' suddenly takes on meaning).
