157 desertions out of a total population of 337K sailors. I know that you can only think in absolutes, but do you understand how insignificant that number is?

Yes, still insignificant even in the statistical sense.  China and Russia suicides amongst their uninformed members no doubt would be in the thousands I'd bet. Not that they would ever publicise any reliable info about that...

150% increase in 2 years, dozens of suicides & many complaining about mental health.

Probably has to do with COVID. A bunch of US ships got it including that famous one where they were ordered not to disembark until the captian broke rank & ordered the crew off the ship.

This is the US Navy. Nobody else's. Cope.
