the figure is 3,900+ surrendered Ukrainians in Mariupol by the way, not 2,400.
2,400+ are just those who've been hiding under the Azovstal steel plant for the past month or so.
There are also POWs from other regions although some prisoner swaps have already taken place.
(Z)elensky is now talking about swapping a civilian politician who the SBU arrested as a political prisoner for the Azov neo-Nazi leaders who crawled out from their bunker & surrendered yesterday. He's also talking about diplomacy for the first time in a while & the Pentagon called RF MoD twice in the past week after not contacting them since Operation Z began.
