lol this is hilarious. this is the problem with sticking to a one-party system that depends on loyalty, because that necessarily means logic must be discarded. criticism is risky to one-party control because it calls their "right" to be in control into question, so everyone just goes along with whatever was decided, and even the guy at the top when he realizes it was a stupid idea has to keep on pushing forward with it because if he doesn't then it suggests he's acknowledging he made a mistake. the result is this inanity which results in poisoned wildlife, seriously compromised water, and all manner of other problems.

Only Buddhism originated in South Asia, in or around Nepal. It was merged with Taoism in China after being taken there by a Persian prince & a new East Asian school of Buddhism was created - a Chinese version - one that's compatible with Taoism. This is the version that then spread to Korea & Japan. The version of Buddhism that was spread to Japan came from China.
