Despite there being a point for submarines probably being better maintained (they must have learned something from the Kursk) than other weapons, "launches" only prove that the carrier is working not that the payload does (or even exists for that matter).

well they're a deterrance so all that really matters is that NATO believes they work.

there was plenty of speculation that Russia's hypersonic missiles didn't really work but the NATO facility 50km from Poland's border being rekt silenced most of those doubters.

man this guy rambles. 3 minutes in and he still hasn't made any kind of a case for anything. just gonna skip it and see what you guys all think, since it is still an interesting question.

my 2 cents is nukes are a lot less advanced than modern military equipment and for the maintenance they do require, 50+ year old tech does it. they're not exposed to the elements like tanks are, their parts can't be sold off for good money, and they don't require a large number of operators. it's still very possible their fuel has been sold and so they could never launch, but so far the missile forces of the russians has been the one part of the army that has been doing well, all in good running order, both the ship-launched cruise missile and also the transportable truck-launched type. the unexploded dud ones we've all seen in pictures are just unguided rockets.

you should have watched on, I know it is a bit long but play it on 1,5 or 2 if you are bored, he will get to the point. It is all speculation anyway.

As has been laid bare by their performance in this war, Russia's procurement and logistical processes are completely corrupt and entirely compromised, so I won't belabour that point here.

Can they make their nukes fly? Certainly so. Can they perform precision, MIRV-guided strikes with accuracy? Apparently mostly, no.  The components used are mostly cheap, chinese crap, that barely passes spec.
