why would trump do anything? he froze military aid to ukraine in 2019. he withdrew military from germany. he didn't think it was a problem that putin put bounties on american soldiers. he was indifferent to the times russia hacked america. he talked about leaving nato. who knows how much easier he would have made it for putin if he had another term
