Seriously though. Cops did as they're trained. He advanced while brandishing a weapon. Popo have families they need to get back home to at the end of the day. Still, hope knife guy survived.

Why do people have a problem with this? The cops didn't sign up to put their lives at risk over mentally ill people, they took up a job, not a death wish. Guy has a knife that is a threat to life of others, deadly force authorized. What is there to talk about?

Most folks don't. Police are people, whose lives have value too, so of course they should defend themselves. And I'm pretty sure the guy filming says to 'shoot him in the stomach, the hospital's right there.' So.. you'll be waiting a while if you want to argue about this one.
