nothing wrong with talking, the govt should talk to them or at least issue conditions for talks to go ahead ...afaik they've been peaceful & relatively lawful protests. The govt had to issue an edict in to make them unlawful & is trampling on their rights as citizens.

they can talk all they want, the right way. what they're doing to get that talk is whats not right and it can't be coppitulated to for the reason that it sets a precedents for any other protest. so, the next time an an american white cops kills a black man and people from all over the world decide to protest. you're going to have more protesters occupying places than countries have police officers. and these people will have demands

I'm in no different opinion about our protests as yours. I think both our govts have overreached in areas & it's quite understandable that people don't like it. When you combine that with the significant minority of people who a) don't understand the science, and b) are willing to camp outside the government to get their way - we just have this situation & have to deal with it.
civil unrest like this is fine even if it disrupts business. The business owners have a right to be pissed & everyone has a right to counter-protest. It's a tricky situation because there are infringements on regular lifestyle all over the place, beginning with the pandemic restrictions.

protesting is part of the democratic process, as are negotiations to figure out ways to make compromises & stuff. Democracy means rule by the people after all.
our system isn't designed such that a majority can trample on the rights of minorities.

AND BEFORE YOU GET ALL KAREN AGAIN: I do not support vax mandates (except for a select few groups of individuals) and respect and support the right to demonstrate, the "truckers" took this way too far though.
In Germany the other day some climate protesters hindered a pregnant woman to get to hospital and blocked other emergency services. Although I am a strong supporter of climate activism I do not condone this shit, quite the opposite.
