if Russia takes action in Ukraine it would be after a heavy attack from Ukraine military on the ethnic Russian population in Donbass region, forcing Russia to get involved (because it would spark civil war in Ukraine that could spin out of control otherwise). Ukraine isn't willing to do this & know the costs involved.
West wants to just light a fire on Russia's doorstep & it's really just information war, also it's being used as a distraction/excuse to surge more arms into the Eastern flank of NATO to highten the tensions more, to fuck with Russia.
Big war between Russia & Europe isn't on the table at this point. That would require Ukraine to first be part of NATO and then to threaten Russia's base in Crimea. We're miles away from that scenario.
So far Russia's played their cards about as best they can. US desparately wants to kill Nord Strream II but that hasn't happened yet. Driving a wedge between Russia & Europe has been a long-standing strategy of the US.

Biden and Trudeau want a war badly. Putin does not. I understand that. I believe that war is something nobody needs especially right now.
Both of them need to back off and leave Ukrain alone. Let Russia conduct their business, which is diplomatic in nature.

Biden has looked rather dickless since the Afghanistan pull-out & Democrats are quite paranoid about not appearing "muscular", so I'd assume that's part of the calculus.
Thing is the Anglo/Americans can't lose. They're demanding Russia "back down" (from what?) and even when nothing happens they can say it's because they were issuing all these threats & such. A small victory for Biden but still won't bump his ratings in any real way I don't think. Him & Boris are both lame ducks at this point.
The shitty thing is that pulling out of Afgahnistan is the only decent thing a US president has done in terms of foreign policy for at least 20 years.

These protests are not peaceful. They would have been if they would have lasted a few hours or a day. They are a nuisance to locals and damaging people's livelyhoods and the economy. In contrary to what the conspircy nutters say only a fraction of the population actually supports their "cause", yes, even in Canada.

Protests are not meant to be heard. They are to demand obedience from government.
We pay them, we own them. Tyrants can't be rid of from the ballot box in a rigged system.
Peaceful protest means no violence. All violence caused was done by those not associated with our movement.
If this protest is dismantled, there is a high likely hood that things will not be peaceful any longer, and image won't matter anymore. Only results.
