This is one of the worst interviews and/or possible one of the most ignorant/naive interviewers I've ever seen. It appears the interviewer and interviewee simply do not understand the technology and the problems with it or are colluding to make it sound worse than it is.
These problems of ML fairness sound like things Google are trying to figure out. What is considered right and wrong? What Jen is talking about could simply be in the context of not promoting fake news. She didn't say stop Donald Trump from coming to power, she referring to something 'happening again' which is left out of the video.
Also, the jump from the trends site to no google search result is totally ignorant. The guy being interviewed doesn't know his shit.
I'm not saying google isn't removing certain phrases and curating with bias but what and why hasn't been fairly represented here. I'm sure one can find one situation that seems unfair but we need to see the overall trend.
The YT channel banning is a whole other topic. It seems like Google is listening to viewers feedback too much. I'm not sure what to think of that but there definitly seems like a lot of long time channel owners being unfairly banned.

i think the same about channel banning. there's no reason to ban any channels, just give everything categories so people can choose what never comes up in any of their suggestions without preventing others from being able to see that content.

There's some pretty damning stuff in there but the idea that we're heading into a 1984 totalitarian system because of what Google is doing ignores the fact that other search engines exist. Google's control of information has bugger-all to do with suppressing right-wing extremist crap.

Video is gone, but i love google, everything i look for i find, great service, they treat their employees well, and it is free, what more do you want? rollercoaster ride and getting your dick sucked?
