CBC will be live for the first instant that Cannabis becomes legal in our most Eastern province (livestream below, but it didn't start because YouTube went down everywhere). Of course, like all of you here on Spiked who live in Canada, I will be waiting until the clock strikes midnight in my time zone before even considering thinking about trying this narcotic. I'm really nervous about trying reefer for the first time, but a guy I met down at the tatoo shop set me up with this cool pipe thing and a novice version of this Cannabis for first time smokers he calls "Shatter". He says it will give a very light buzz so I can sort of ease into it. Anyway it's a new dawn for our nation - so far the rollout of this looks like a complete and total clusterfuck from just about every angle because this is Trudeau but he got it out the door and now it's our job to fix it so it works properly.
Watch yourself driving if you've used the weed at any point in the past 24 hours moving forward - I'm not sure what the CBC is talking about when they say 12-fold increase in stops and sobriety testing for cannabis impaired driving but they make it sound like we've been pretty badly fucked over here in the short term. highest thc potency in weed is the 30%, shatter is in the 90%
its smoother because it has no plant material.
it takes 4-5 grams of weed to make 1 gram of shatter.
1 gram of shatter is worth about the same as 7 grams of pot. $50'ish.

- So, for your first time I'd suggest holding out and doing it right by getting a script, then getting an Indica strain (more body high, relaxing). NOT a Sativa strain ( Heady and energetic ).

You could also get a small CBD edible/mouth drops, or CBD strain of flower (weed bud) @ the shop to have on standby if you aren't feeling the weed. (Nullifies the THC and chills you out).
I can check out some strains at the dispensary you're looking at. Get an "Indica", or "Indica dominant Hybrid".

Full legalisation is the best thing that ever happened to weed
- first it creates jobs, it is a whole new market
- keeps ppl out of jail saves money, and keeps the ppl in the economy = more money
- they can tax it = even more money
- the illegal trade gets a hit = less money for (criminals/organizations)
- quality or purity controll = you know what you smoke

Tax money can be created through fines. (Keep them reasonable around parking ticket range.)
Growers already had a job. Growing.
The illegal trade is 90% average guys that don't make alot of money at their job, so they fill in the cracks with selling.
Yes, there are a few that dont work and just sell. I say it's better than those people going homeless, they can still contribute to a demand, and still help circulate the economy by spending CASH.
Plus, crime syndicates usually sell narcotics. That's where the REAL money is, and also the most ails towards society.
