People have confused sincerity for credibility. Dr. Ford sounded sincere in her testimony, but there are so many holes in her claim, calling it credible is absurd. In order for it to be credible, it would have to be verifiable, even in part, and all of the witnesses she's named have denied this event ever happening. Also doesn't help that she can't remember shit, and so there isn't anything to follow up on or investigate.
If it weren't for the fact that A) people wanna stick it to Trump and B) we live in this hysterical #metoo era, no one would give this claim the time of day. It is objectively weak.
