Short sighted and erratic knee jerk actions destbilised the markets and only create mistrust between what actually should be allies. Again trump complained about EU suggestions on vehicles and parts. They also threaten with increased military spending.
When are they going to realise that bullying your mates will drive them away to look elsewhere for relationships. And the US alone in the world doing some trading with Mexico and the brexited UK will definitely not make them great again.

If you think that China considers us allies in any way, shape, or form, I would say you are gravely mistaken. In fact, I would go so far as to say China does not consider any country an ally. All the attention going to Russia when it comes to influence (collusion) must be making the Chinese government extremely happy. We (U.S.) should take advantage of China's insistence/need to continually propagate growth/strength to level the economic playing field while we have something to leverage. Our saving grace will be China's population moving towards wealth and comfort and their unwillingness to go back to a 60% extremely poor, 30% poor, 9% middle class, and 1% super wealthy split.
Just my 2 cents. Oh wait, China just sold all their U.S. dollars.
