Last Man Standing (1996) | All Insane Shootout Scenes | Bruce Willis | 1080p

from: www.imfdb.org/wiki/Last_Man_Standing_(1996)#M1911A1

John Smith (Bruce Willis) keeps two M1911A1s with diamond checker grips in crossdraw shoulder holsters and dual-wields the pistols several times in the film. Hickey (Christopher Walken) also uses an M1911A1 with bolo wood grips as his sidearm. This film obviously is not trying to win the award for gun realism as Smith tends to fire up to 40 rounds from his .45s in each scene before reloading (when their capacities are seven rounds plus one in the chamber). The guns are also shown capable of sending people flying when they are barraged by them. Also, as Bruce Willis is left-handed, the left 1911 has an extended slide release so his index finger can easily release the slide.

Lots of bumping around in these shoot outs.

I decided to watch this film for the first time before clicking this vid.

 Pros.

Awesome plot with tons of simple mystery boxes to keep you engaged.

Bruce and Christopher play excellent characters.

Exciting blend of wild west meets prohibition.

Female leads do not hog the plot. Nice balance of their presence, yet remains focused on the story.

 Cons.

Still "old style" action. Asks for too much suspension of disbelief from the audience during shoot outs. Thugs bursting blindly through doors, bad guys with worse aim, infinite magazines.

Not killing the hero despite clear opportunities to do so. If you want your hero in danger, yet you still want him to live, be more creative about the circumstances you put him in.

Terrible villain direction with the exception of christopher Walken. They all seemed like reactive and whiny bitches, instead of the hardened gangsters from the alleys of new york and chicago they were supposedly supposed to be.

Out of a possible 10. I will knock off three stars.

 What saved the other 7?

Original plot with familiar formula. Which makes up for alot.

 Good MAIN characters.

Above average cinematography and locations. Though not a masterpiece.

Fun and exciting despite it's flaws.

This is a pretty spot on review, imo.  It's a good fantasy movie in these regards.
