WHAT IS PALESTINE? WHO ARE THE PALESTINIANS?

The video dispels certain myths concerning the origin of the name 'Palestine' and of the 'Arab Palestinians.' It documents that the 'Arab Palestinians' are in fact mostly from other places, and migrated to what is now Israel at the same time as the Zionist Jews, many of them because of the economic boom that the Zionist Jews produced in what was then British Mandate Palestine. The Zionist Jews did not steal the "best" land from Arab landowners but in fact purchased abandoned desert and swamp land from absentee Arab landlords who were quite eager to sell. This was explained by Hajj Amin al Husseini himself. Husseini, father of the Palestinian movement, launched his fourth terrorist attack against the Jews of the Mandate in 1936-39. The violence was so great that the British sent a team to investigate. When questioned, Husseini admitted that the Zionist Jews had not stolen anybody's land but in fact had bought it. In fact, Husseini had been among the major consolidators and sellers of land, and growing tremendously rich by it.

Oooooh jesus this is gonna take time. I'll leave the misinfo in the text until last & focus first on the misinfo & disinfo in the video.

Before starting, it should be noted that the person featured in this video, Francisco Gil-White is an ignorant fraud who falsifies history. This is coming from Jared Israel, the editor of the magazine he used to write for. http://emperors-clothes.com/israpundit.htm

eg.

Comment 31 - Jared Israel shows how Gil-White clipped nine words from a 1938 magazine article written by Rabbi Stephen Wise, which article passionately exhorted Britain to rescue the German Jews, falsely claiming that in these remarks, Rabbi Wise called for slaughtering the Jews and that when the Holocaust took place, "Rabbi Wise got his wish."

expertly avoiding telling the whole story.

the current argument doesn't stem from before the creation of israel. it used to, decades ago, but it no longer does. after the creation of the state of israel at the end of ww2, the people inside those borders were called israelis, those outside were called palestinians. later, in a completely fair response to attack, israel invaded some of those lands in palestine but outside the borders of israel. palestinian civilians fled their homes to avoid the fighting, and were not involved in the conflict. however, following the conclusion of this war, israel has refused to let those palestinians return to their homes, even though those homes are outside of the borders of israel, is required to do so under the international law of right of return, and doesn't have jurisdiction over these lands that are outside israel, which everybody commonly refers to as "palestine".

israel has concocted 2 defenses to this violation of international law. one is that the lands referred to as palestine that people want to return to are not part of a sovereign state and therefore aren't covered by international law, which is completely untrue because the law makes no such qualification, the right of return is due to all people regardless of statehood. the second is that it's to secure their country from attack, which is also a fabrication since the rocket attacks are not coming from any of the lands that displaced palestinians are trying to return to, and further israel is continuing to evict others from their homes in those areas despite living peacefully and being completely uninvolved in any attacks on israel.

It's kind of ironic that this misinformation video from FullAutoGal is helping me learn more about the reality of state of Israel-Palestine than most of the other videos on this topic.

Edit:  These comments have been updating all night and with the title of the video in all caps I can only think of Austin Powers screaming, "WHAT IS PALESTINE?!  WHO ARE THE PALESTINIANS?!  Yes, I'm having a difficult time controlling THE VOLUME OF MY VOICE."

1:14 - "The Romans had conquered a place called Kingdom of Judah" (with a map showing the British Palestine Mandate borders)

This is grossly misleading & straight up wrong.

  • The "Kingdom of Judah", is a biblical place, not real. And if it ever did exist (probably not) it was there 1,000 years before Romans took over the province.
  • The province of what the Romans conquered was called the "Hasmonean Kingdom". A semi-autonymous region under Seleucuid rule [link] that enjoyed relative independence for just 47 years while the Seleucuid empire was disintegrating.
  • It gained its independence from Seleucuid rule when a small army of Jewish rebels called Maccabees overthrew the governing body
  • Just like when living under early 20th century British rule, the Maccabees used terrorist tactics against themselves & the authorities to gain independence. This is where the term "zealot" comes from. The original Zionist terrorists.
  • The Hasmonean dynasty lasted a total of 103 years.
  • The borders shifted during the 103 years as shown in the graphic here [link]

Here are the stats for the Palestine region over the 19th century:

source

1890 was when the Zionist influx had just started. By 1910 Jews had reached about 12% and it just went crazy after that, leading to violence in the 1920's and so on.

I don't know how you can come to the conclusion that Arabs are the foreigners in Palestine. That's some willful ignorance right there. Sure some families moved there from other parts of the Ottoman empire at some point but that's like moving from NYC to Boston & the ones who lived here at the advent of Zionism are not foreigners.
