USA: Trump says no 'Libyan model' in N. Korea if deal made

After the threats made the other day by US National Security Advisor John Bolton [link], President Trump tries to do some damage control but then goes ahead and threatens NK with the 'Libya model' immediately afterwards!

"That model with Qaddafi, that was a total decimation, we went in to beat him. Now, that model would take place if we don't make a deal"

At the end of the day when Trump talks about pouring bucketloads of money to other countries and then names entities like the EU(NATO) and South Korea I can't help but feel hopeful that he'll ruin the American empire.

American will turn the corner under Trump for sure. It's almost irreversable already. Nobody is buying into their anti-Iran lobbying. Once the China tradewar kicks in it'll just be a matter of 5-10 years before you can no longer call US the world's sole superpower.

Trump will set this country back decades. It will be difficult to find Trumptards when it becomes obvious just how much of a disaster he will have been. You will hear "No, not me" from the people who now call him their dear leader. What is making it worse is that his term is during the point in a 20-year good economic cycle, so all you hear is "The economy is great....TRUMP IS GREAT". Meanwhile, there is no preparation for the future. Trump talks about saving the coal industry, a dying operation rather than investing heavily in renewable energies as other countries are, as just one example among many. The EPA is a machine for corporations and is damaging the environment beyond repair. Trump, his family, his rich friends, and the wealthy elite will walk away from the disaster after heavily enriching themselves.

The documentary that will follow the Trump regime will be damning. Looking back at this era in 50 years will bring about a mass of people who will ask "How the hell were so many people so stupid"?

It's okay to roll it back, American people aren't interested in a global empire IMO, they just want jobs & a decent standard of living. It's the plutocrats who drive the expansionism. America is really rich in resources, it's naturally going to be fine, even with completely isolationalist policies. It'll always be the biggest Western country & be culturally relevant. It also has a good constitution, it just needs a government who follow it.

There might be some pain but I think it's necessary to fix the government. It needs some hardcore reforms to rollback the corruption. The lobbying is way out of control.

Yeah I agree. I'm not sure why the Feds aren't going after Jared Kushner. They gotta have a lot of dirt on him by now considering they surveilled him during the campaign.

Oh hey if you want to see a doco about the Kushner crime network in NY/NJ, it's $9.11
